The State Council promulgated the “Order on Uniform Implementation of Statutory Measurement Units in China” and promulgated the “Statutory Measurement Unit of the People’s Republic of China”. This is a major event that further unifies our measurement system. The State Council requires that legal units of measurement be used in books and periodicals published since 1986.
