There is a process of putting forward Deng Xiaoping’s theory of the essence of socialism. This discourse is a new generalization of the essence of socialism. The new generalization of Deng Xiaoping can not be confined to literal understanding but must be understood and mastered historically, comprehensively and pertinently. There is a profound reason for the new generalization of liberating the productive forces and developing productive forces as the primary essence of socialism. The new summary did not mention the implementation of public ownership and distribution according to work and had its special purpose. The five sentences in the new summary are an indivisible organic whole
