The State Economic and Trade Commission issued a notice requiring the building materials industry to increase the proportion of high-quality and deep-processed products in traditional building materials such as cement, glass and building sanitary ceramics. At the same time, it will resolutely eliminate some backward technologies and products and promote the rationality, optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure. According to the State Economic and Trade Commission, the development of the building materials industry will not be aimed at speed in the three years or more after the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” but will focus on the work of “controlling the total volume and adjusting the structure”.
