The buildings on both sides of the road are covered with banners of “Earthquake Relief and Public Administration”; on special driveways for disaster relief, vehicles transporting goods and wounded from time to time go gallop; streets and lanes are lined with yellow ribbons, Volunteers in camouflage uniforms ... We contacted the Communist Youth League in Chengdu and searched for the regiment flag all the way. We found Qiu Wei, secretary of the CYL Municipal Party Committee and Yao Mingda, director of the Juvenile Division, who are currently working on the earthquake relief work in Dujiangyan. According to them, at that time there were 12 settlements in Chengdu, receiving tens of thousands of victims from different areas in Sichuan. After the earthquake and disaster, the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and the Communist Youth League immediately organized youth volunteers to participate in disaster relief work, especially for the children and youth affected by the disaster. They organized timely counseling sessions for the “Psychological Panel of Colleges and Universities” and “Young Pioneers Counselor Team” The resettlement sites gradually restored the Young Pioneers organization, gave full play to the role of the organization, and gave children more material and spiritual help.
