从上世纪50年代西藏和平解放至今,一代代解放军指战员,一批批援藏干部,一届届进藏大学生,不断奔向这块世界第三极,为了解放西藏,保卫和建设新西藏,把青春和生命都献给了高原,挺起了这片凛冽高原雄浑的精神脊梁。(一)翟新莉哭了。这位原18军某团政委翟寿亭的女儿,在客车翻越川藏北线海拔最高达6168米的雀儿山时,潸然泪下。2001年6月,翟新莉和20名昔日18军老战士的子女一起,重走父辈进藏路,凭吊埋葬在沿途的18军先烈们。
