Krppel-like factor4(KLF4)是一个在多种组织中广泛表达的锌指结构转录因子,作为KLF因子家族的一员,KLF4在细胞分化和细胞周期停滞中扮演重要角色。根据靶基因不同,KLF4既可以激活又可以抑制转录作用。此外,在特定的细胞微环境情况下,KLF4既可以作为肿瘤抑制因子也可以作为癌基因。对于KLF4因子不同功能间的转换,在正常细胞以及癌细胞中的作用及其相应的分子机制研究,将进一步为肿瘤的发生和治疗的研究提供新的策略和思路。
Kröppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) is a zinc finger transcription factor that is widely expressed in many tissues. As a member of the KLF factor family, KLF4 plays an important role in cell differentiation and cell cycle arrest. Depending on the target gene, KLF4 can both activate and inhibit transcription. In addition, KLF4 acts both as a tumor suppressor and an oncogene at a given cellular microenvironment. The role of KLF4 in the conversion of different functions between normal cells and cancer cells and its corresponding molecular mechanisms will further provide new strategies and ideas for the study of tumorigenesis and therapy.
