Zhang Runshi was born in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province in 1964 and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1992. He is a famous oil painter, literary illustrator, sketch artist and copperplate painter. Now he is a member of Chinese Artists Association, a member of Independent Salon Association of France, a member of Chinese Print Engraving Association, a member of Chinese Folklore Photographers Association, a visiting professor of Oil Painting Department of Shanghai Normal University and a visiting professor of the University of Tennessee.
