玉米丝黑穗病是玉米产区重要的病害。甘肃省永昌县历年虽有发生,但为害较轻,2002年前,常年平均发病率在3%以下,损失很小。自2003年起,随着玉米种植及制种面积的扩大、品种抗性的丧失及感病品种的推广种植,玉米丝黑穗病的发生为害渐趋严重,2004～2007年年均发生面积为1580hm2,占年均种植面积的48.9%,已严重威胁本县玉米的安全生产。
Corn smut is an important disease in corn producing areas. Although occurring in Yongchang County of Gansu Province over the past years, the damage was relatively mild. Before 2002, the average annual incidence of perennial diseases was below 3% with little loss. Since 2003, with the expansion of corn planting and seed production area, the loss of variety resistance and the promotion of susceptible varieties, the occurrence of maize head smut becomes more and more serious. The average annual area from 2004 to 2007 is 1580hm2, accounting for 48.9% of the annual planted area, which has seriously threatened the safety of maize production in this county.
