水溶胀性丁腈橡胶对井下作业设备的密封起到极重要的作用。研究表明,采用低分子量的有机酸盐(甲酸钠和乙酸钠)作为溶胀剂的丁腈橡胶(NBR)的溶胀达到200%(重量)。较高的温度会产生较快的溶胀速率和较大的溶胀比。试样厚度决定了需要达到最终溶胀速率所需的时间长短,但可以通过增大暴露在盐水溶液中的表面积来缩短这段时间。溶胀速率和溶胀比与外加压力无关,但是,溶胀速率和溶胀比在很大程度上取决于溶胀试验采用的盐的类型和浓度。
Water-swellable nitrile rubber plays a very important role in the sealing of downhole equipment. Studies have shown that swelling of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) using low molecular weight organic acid salts (sodium formate and sodium acetate) as swelling agents achieves 200% by weight. Higher temperatures result in faster swelling rates and larger swelling ratios. The thickness of the sample determines the amount of time it takes to reach the final swelling rate, but this can be shortened by increasing the surface area exposed to the saline solution. The swelling rate and swelling ratio are independent of the applied pressure, however, the swelling rate and swelling ratio depend to a large extent on the type and concentration of salt used in the swelling test.
