According to a report published in the U.S. Science on June 9, 2000, a new study in the United States shows that human beings were infected with AIDS as early as 1931, much earlier than people generally thought. This conclusion is drawn from the computer simulation of the evolution of the AIDS virus by scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States. According to the report, the current HIV virus is a virus that originated in Southwest African apes in 1915 and 1941. Prior to this, it was generally believed that AIDS began in the late 1950s when a human immunization against polio vaccine used star-orangutan kidney cells, which are likely to have HIV. They think the vaccine makes the HIV transmission fast.
