I. Overall Forecast of International Economic and Financial Trends in 2003 As a whole, the world economic situation in 2003 was generally better than in 2002. According to the latest forecast made by the International Monetary Fund in September, the world economy grew by 3.2% this year, 0.2 percentage points higher than in 2002.
