翻译不仅是传统定义中的纯文本之间的转换,而且受到与译者相关因素的牵制与操纵。本文结合福柯的权力话语理论,在历史语境中对老舍先生名作《骆驼祥子》一英译本Rickshaw Boy进行个案研究。宏观上考察译本产生的时代背景,微观上分析文本的处理方法,最后得出本文结论,翻译是权力话语制约下的再创造。
Translation is not only the conversion between the plain texts in the traditional definition, but also the containment and manipulation of the translator-related factors. In the context of Foucault’s discourse of power, this article conducts a case study of an English translation of the famous English-language version of Lao She Xiang Zi in the historical context. From the macro perspective, we examine the background of the translation and analyze the processing method of the text microscopically. Finally, we conclude the conclusion that translation is a re-creation under the restriction of the power discourse.
