20年前,“张思中外语教学法”让大江南北的英语教师认识了他; 20年后,75岁高龄的他领衔完成了教育部“十五”课题《一门外语基础过关的理论与实践研究》。在英语教学方法不断丰富、英语水平不断提升的今天,关于“张思中外语教学法”落伍、不科学的质疑声此起彼伏。尽管如此,这位因在英语普及阶段作出重要贡献而位列“改革开放20年影响中国英语教育十大人物”的老人,对外语教学依然充满热情。
Twenty years ago, Zhang Sizhong’s Foreign Language Teaching Method enabled English teachers from north and south of the Yangtze River to meet with him. After 20 years, he led the completion of the “10th Five-Year” project entitled “A Theoretical and Practical Study of Passing on Foreign Language Fundamentals” . Today, with the continuous enrichment of English teaching methods and the continuous improvement of English, the outdated and unscientific questioning voices of Zhang Sizhong’s Foreign Language Teaching Method come out one after another. Nevertheless, the elderly who ranked “the top ten influential Chinese English education practitioners in the 20 years of reform and opening up” for their important contributions in the popularization of English are still enthusiastic about foreign language teaching.
