针织机平面槽凸轮(又称端面凸轮)是针织机中重要部件之一。它是由许多形状复杂的所谓三角构成弯弯曲曲的针槽,大量的高速运转着的织针在针槽内运动,对三角冲击、摩擦的次数高达18000次/分以上。由于三角的工作条件恶劣,国内外传统上均由Cr12MoV模具钢用机械加工制成;工作条件较好的三角有用GCr15轴承钢制造的。由于三角的几何形状复杂,机加工工时多,材料消耗大,因此,三角的制造已成为发展针织机械的一大障碍。
