香港得以发展成为亚太区金融及商贸中心,除所处的地理位置得天独厚、拥有健全的法制、良好的商贸环境和高效率的服务外,中国因素亦是其中重要的推动力之一。近二十年来的发展历程足以证明,香港经济起飞与内地实行开放政策息息相关,香港与内地的紧密合作,有助香港经济向前发展,继续繁荣。香港回归祖国后,与内地的联系必将更为密切。不少人预测,到下一世纪,中国将会成为全球最大的经济体系,香港作为内地对外经贸的窗口,发展的空间可谓十分广阔,特别是在“一国两制”设计下,香港既可保持以往行之有效的市场经济体系,继续扮演东西方经贸桥梁的角色;更可凭借与内地千丝万缕的联系,捷足先登地开拓中国这个世界最大的消费市场;对港商来说,这是百年难遇的契机。香港贸易发展局作为专责推广香港商品及服务贸易的机构,深信香港与内地的紧密合作,对香港整体经济至关重要,有助于巩固和提升香港的国际金融和贸易中心的地位。故此,加强与内地的沟通和合作,必将成为本局未来工作的重要内容之
