木犀科植物茉莉(Jasminum sambac Soland)之根,在《本草纲目》中有“以酒磨一寸服,则昏迷一日乃醒;二寸二日;三寸三日。凡跌损、骨折、脱臼、接骨者用此.则不知痛也”的记载。我们研究了茉莉根乙醇提取物对中枢神经系统的作用,结果如下。 1.对小鼠自发活动的影响:利用自行设计的装置,以漏水量的多少测定小鼠活动的程度。生理盐水组、茉莉根1g/kg、茉莉根2g/kg的漏水量分别为200.8±4.8、66.0±9.7、62.0±6.0(ml.均值±标准误),两给药组与对照组比较,差异均非常显著(P<0.01).表明茉莉根可减少小鼠自发活动。 2.对环己巴比妥钠睡眠时间的影响:对照组与茉莉根(2g/kg)组小鼠睡眠时间分别为119.0±10.0与164.0±10.1(分,均值±标准误),两组差异非常显著(P<0.01),表明茉莉根可延长环已巴比妥钠的睡眠

The effect of sodium pentobarbital on sleep time: Sleep time of mice in the control and jasmine root groups (2 g/kg) was 119.0±10.0 and 164.0±10.1 (mean±standard error), respectively.
