This article reviews the auditory effects of pulsed microwaves and their effects. It has been found that when the human body is exposed to microwave pulses, a sound is felt inside the skull or near the skull. The auditory effect of microwave pulses is also confirmed by observation of animal behavior and recording of auditory central potentials. At lower microwave frequencies, microwave pulses produce the highest thermal expansion pressures, whereas at millimeter-wave irradiation, the electrostrictive pressure is higher than the thermal expansion pressure or can be compared with the natural expansion pressure.
