英语交际时,往往遇到歧义现象,恰当运用歧义能够增加文章的新鲜感、说服力;但有时也也适得其反,造成理解障碍。大凡英语的歧义不外词法与句法的两个方面。词法的歧义主要是词的一词多义而致;句法的歧义是由于句式的表达方式而致。
Ambiguity is often encountered in the communication of English. Appropriate use of ambiguity can increase the freshness and persuasiveness of the essay. But sometimes it is also counterproductive and causes obstacles to understanding. The general ambiguity of English is nothing but the two aspects of the lexical and syntactic. The ambiguity of lexical is mainly due to the polysemy of the word; the syntactic ambiguity is due to the expression of the sentence.
