钱仁康先生: 蒙您厚爱,寄来《汉译德语传统歌曲荟萃》一书,非常感谢;只是您书上写的题词使我感到惶恐。您是国内为大家尊敬的音乐界前辈,是一位音乐专家和音乐教育家,您一生辛勤工作,为我们国家的音乐事业作出了卓越的贡献;而我虽也曾学过一点音乐(战时在青木关国立音乐院,未完成学业),目前还在北大教一点音乐欣赏,但实事求是地讲,我的水平停留在一个音乐爱好者上,因此您应该是我的老师才对。 您新出的这本歌曲集拿到后,我如饥似渴地把它看了一遍,但很粗略。看后,我的第一个感觉:这是一本好书。我所见孤陋,但凭我所知,国内还没有它的同类。可以说,它是一本带有首创性的介绍外国歌曲的歌集。歌集中收的,都是曲调健康朗朗上口的歌曲,这当然与您自然顺口而不失原作精神的译词
