资源发现是数字图书馆网格资源管理的核心内容之一,资源发现功能的强弱,直接决定了数字图书馆网格的使用效率和用户友好程度。要想实现数字图书馆网格对资源的有效共享,就必须采取一种高效安全的资源发现方法。当前基本的资源发现方法主要有四种:集中式资源发现方法、分布式资源发现方法、混合式资源发现方法和层次式资源发现方法。本文对这四种发现方法的工作原理以及优缺点进行了分析,并指出层次式方法是构建大型数字图书馆网格时资源发现方法的首要选择。
Resource discovery is one of the core contents of digital library grid resource management. The strength of resource discovery function directly determines the efficiency and user-friendliness of digital library grid. In order to realize the effective sharing of resources in digital library grid, we must adopt an efficient and safe resource discovery method. At present, there are mainly four basic resource discovery methods: a centralized resource discovery method, a distributed resource discovery method, a hybrid resource discovery method and a hierarchical resource discovery method. This paper analyzes the working principle, advantages and disadvantages of these four methods, and points out that the hierarchical method is the primary choice of the resource discovery method when constructing a large digital library grid.
