屏山北麓,古越都畔,有一所年轻的学校——福州市钱塘小学屏北分校(以下简称屏北小学)。它创建于2003年,占地7333.3平方米,建筑面积5843平方米。现拥有24个教学班,近1400名在校学生,60多名在职教师。教师中涌现出了福州市政协委员、鼓楼区人大代表、福建省学科带头人、福州市小学名师、鼓楼区名教师及各级骨干教师和教坛新秀。办学以来,屏北小学规模从小到大、从弱到强,实现了又好又快的稳步持续发展,留下了一串串深深浅浅的足迹。如今,屏北小学已获得福建省武术传统特色学校、福建省小学数学教育实验基地学校、福建省写字实验先进学校、福州市绿色学校、全国教研工作先进单位、教育部课程教材研究所重点课题先进单位、双拥共建先进单位等荣誉。
