同志们: 首先热烈祝贺全国优生学科普讨论会胜利召开。这是第一次全国的优生学科普讨论会,会议的召开,说明优生学已经引起了我们大家的注意。 我对优生学没有知识,但是我觉得这是个非常重要的问题,所以我也来参加讨论。我想讲的问题是如何努力培育我们优秀的后代。 党的三中全会以来,党中央和国务院非常重视我国的人口问题。人口问题的内容比较多,我的理解可以分两大方面。一个方面是控制人口的增长,就是说数量;另一方面是提高人口的素质,也就是说如何提高中华民族的素质。

This is the first national eugenics seminar and meeting, which shows that eugenics has caught the attention of all of us. I have no knowledge of eugenics, but I think this is a very important issue, so I came to the discussion. The question I want to talk about is how to work hard to nurture our excellent future generations. Since the Third Plenary Session of the party, the Central Party Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the population issue in our country. The content of the population problem is more, my understanding can be divided into two aspects. One aspect is the control of the population growth, that is to say the quantity; the other is to improve the quality of the population, that is to say how to improve the quality of the Chinese nation.
