殳在中国古代是一种兵器,有时也可当作礼器。现代汉字中,殳旁参与构成的字十分常见,以对外汉语教学汉字等级大纲为例,殳旁参与构成的字就有般、搬、段、锻、缎、毁、毅、殴、设、投、没、股、殿、役、疫等十几个字。这些殳旁来源十分复杂,近些年来随着古文字学界相关研究成果的不断出现,汉字中一些殳旁来源问题也基本得到解决。本文准备谈谈古代的殳并且对汉字等级大纲中的殳旁来源进行一番梳理。
