中山市第二中学创建于1980年,在“让学生做成长的主人,为学生终身发展奠基”的理念指导下,学校快速发展,近年连续通过了省一级学校的评估验收和国家级示范性普通高中的初级验收。学校大力推进素质教育,特别是开展引导学生“学会关注”活动,引导学生关心时事、关注社会、关注生活、组织学生参与社会实践,教育学生弘扬孙中山“博爱、创新、包容、和谐”精神,全面提升学生素质。连续5年获市教学综合评估一等奖,该活动还作为市科研立项课题,获市科研成果奖励。
