楷篆目前仍然没有统一的解释。本文旨在补正前说,对机关的书法史问题,提出自己的看法。楷篆一词见于魏晋南北朝史书。《三国志·吴书》中记载:“(张)纮善楷篆书。”《魏书·窦谨传》云:“(窦)遵善楷篆。”《周书·黎景熙传》云:“(黎)广从吏部尚书崔玄伯受字义,又从司徒浩学楷篆。”楷篆,北朝王愔《古今字目》、南朝梁庾元威《论书》均未收,表明其不是一个书体的专名。近人马宗霍《书林藻鉴》和《中国书法大辞典》虽有提及,但均照录电书,未做详解。令人丛文俊先生在《魏崔、卢二门楷法蠡测》中说:“楷篆指规范的正体小篆。”刘涛先生在《中国书法史·魏晋南北朝》卷中称《皇帝南巡之颂》等碑额的篆书,“或许就是当时的楷篆。”华人德先生《六朝书法》又有另一种新看法,云“故知崔浩擅写楷、篆”,将楷篆分为二体。由此可见,楷篆目前仍然没有统一的解释。本文旨在补正前说,对相关的书法史问题,提出自己的看法,并就正于书界同道。
