设计,艺术与手工艺是三个相关而又不同的概念。从纵向来看,他们有各自的演进过程;从横向比较,他们又是交织在一起的。本文从历史出发,从纵横两个方向比较三个概念发展和交织的状况,分析在目前的理解中存在的问题;并指出对于中国这样的后发现代化国家而言,设计的发展方向既不在于艺术也不在手工艺,而在于以现有的条件解决生活中产生的具体问题。
Design, art and craft are three related but different concepts. From a vertical perspective, they have their own evolutionary process; from a horizontal perspective, they are intertwined. Based on history, this article compares the three concepts of development and intertwining from both vertical and horizontal, and analyzes the existing problems in the current understanding. It also points out that for China, such a late-development and modernization country, the development direction of design is neither Art is not about handicrafts, it’s about solving the specific problems that arise in life with existing conditions.
