素有阿拉伯诗坛“吉他”之称的叙利亚大诗人尼扎尔·葛巴尼今年4月30日在伦敦的宅第中溘然长逝,享年75岁.叙利亚总统阿萨德派专机,将诗人遗体运回国内.尼扎尔曾长期居住在黎巴嫩,后移居伦敦.他一生创作了大量诗篇,出版了多部诗集.他的诗歌由著名作曲家和歌唱家配曲演唱,传播甚广.1923年4月21日,尼扎尔出生在大马士革哈斯姆宣礼塔区,兄弟姐妹五人,他排行第二.父亲陶菲格·葛巴尼是一糖果厂老板,酷爱诗词,文化素养较高.尼扎尔的叔父艾布·赫里勒多才多艺,作诗、作曲、填词、演戏样样在行.尼扎尔本人自幼爱好绘画,后迷上音乐.这为他以后走上诗歌创作之路打下了基础.18岁时,尼扎尔在大马士革民族科学院获得文学士学位,后进入叙利亚大学学习,1945年获法学士学位.大学毕业后.诗人开始了他的外交生涯,曾先后担任叙利亚驻开罗使馆参赞、驻伦敦、北京、马德里大使,后退出外交界
