本文从短篇小说的审美规范入手 ,在分析了短篇小说与中长篇小说之间的重要区别之后 ,对短篇小说应有的艺术特征和文体要求进行了较为系统的阐释 ,突出强调了短篇小说必须具备的智性特征。然后以此作为审度依据 ,对 2 0 0 2年的短篇小说创作实绩进行了艺术评估。其中既分析了某些名家名作的不足 ,如理念操纵过于明显、内涵发掘不深、叙事手法过于简单等 ,同时也肯定了一些优秀短篇在审美上的某些独到发现 ,包括对成长记忆的智性表达、对生存苦难的诗性再现以及对现代生活的鲜活展示等。
