一九九八年第七期的《读书》杂志上盛洪先生的文章《道德、功利及其他》给人以启迪 :道德这个表面上与功利相对立的品质 ,却有着深刻的功利性起源（或形而下起源）。我想这里有个隐含的前提 :社会中有一套制度 ,使人们从长远看来 ,其道德性的行为能比不道德性的行为获利更大。

I think there is an underlying premise here: There is a system in society that allows people to profit in the long run more than unethical behavior.
