1998年,我区各级人民政府认真贯彻自治区党委提出的“三大战略、六大突破”的决策和《自治区党委、自治区人民政府关于贯彻落实党的十五大精神实现发展个体私营经济新突破的决定》(桂发[1998]4号),把发展个体私营经济作为振兴当地经济的重要工作来抓,实现了发展个体私营经济的新突破。这对促进我区经济增长、增加财政收入、扩大劳动就业、活跃城乡市场等方面发挥了重要的作用,涌现出了一批发展个体私营经济的先进单位。为了表彰先进,进一步推动个体私营经济持续、快速、健康的发展,自治区人民政府决定授予南宁地区行署、南宁市人民政府等34个单位“1998年度发展个体私营经济先进单位”称
