China has taken a major step forward in making China's judicial work more transpar- ent as the Supreme People's Court issued in June 2007 the Proposals on Strengthening Open Trial. The document is regarded as a firm commitment to making all court trials open and protecting the right of informa- tion of litigation parties. The principle of open trial is not new. It is a principle that was laid down in the 1954 Constitution.It is an important guar- antee for judicial justice and also an important part of judicial justice,which is the core of open trial.
