Objective To investigate the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFL) and its relationship with obesity, dyslipidemia and diabetes in an oilfield. Methods A total of 743 oilfield workers were surveyed for height, weight, blood lipids, blood glucose, liver and kidney function and abdominal ultrasonography to compare NAFL group and non-NAFL group. Results (1) NAFL221 was detected in 743 workers, the detection rate was 29.7%. The detection rate was 64.3% in BMI≥28, 13.4% in BMI <24 and 24≤BMI <28 The rate of NAFL in obese patients was significantly higher than that in non-obese patients (P <0.01). (2) Compared with non-NAFL group, BMI, TG, HDL-C and FBG in NAFL group were significantly different (P <0.01). (3) The prevalence of obesity, hyperlipidemia and diabetes in NAFL group was significantly higher than that in non-NAFL group (P <0.01). Conclusion The incidence of obesity, dyslipidemia, diabetes and hypertension are higher in NAFL group than in non-NAFL group.
