现阶段油茶产量不高不稳的主要原因之一,是缺肥少水。因为油茶生长的丘陵红壤地区,有机质很贫乏,含氮和磷比较少,特别是有效磷奇缺,据化验,红壤的PH4.8-6.2左右,土壤表层有机质含量为1.3733-5.9430%之间,氮在O.25-3.00PPm之间,磷在O.3-1.4PPm之间,钾在6-60PPm之间,镁在O.25-40PPm之间,所以红壤的特点是,酸度大、粘性重、土壤板结、贫瘠易干、容易流失。而油茶是一年四季花果不离枝,根系发达,吸肥
