ICS分类由三级构成。一级包括标准化领域的41个大类,每一大类以二位数字表示。例如.43道路车辆工程。大类再分351个二级类;二级类的类号由大由类的类号和被一个点隔开的三位类组成,例如:43·040道路车辆系统。二级类再分127个三级类,三级类的类号的二级类的类号和被一个点隔开的二位数组成,例如43·40·20照明和信号设备。 在二级类和三级类的标题后加上星号,其后用斜体字印刷,表示适用范围或参考文献。
ICS classification consists of three levels. The first level includes 41 major categories in the field of standardization, each of which is represented by two digits. For example .43 road vehicle engineering. The major categories are divided into 351 second-level categories; the second-level category numbers consist of the category numbers of the major categories and the three categories separated by a single point, for example, the 43.040 road vehicle system. The second class is subdivided into 127 third-level classes, the class numbers of the second-class classes of the class number of the third-class class and two-digit numbers separated by a point, for example, 43.4.20.20 lighting and signaling equipment. The asterisks are appended to the titles of the second and third classes, followed by italics, indicating the scope of application or references.
