豪萨(Hausa)是尼日利亚三大主体民族之一,另外两个分别是约鲁巴(Yoruba)和伊博(Igbo)。后两个民族更为中国读者熟知,因其产生了非洲现代文学史上的两位杰出人物:非洲首位诺贝尔文学奖得主索因卡和被誉为非洲文学之父的阿契贝。相比而言,豪萨民族及其文学则不为我们所知,它所特有的文学现代化道路也从未纳入我们的研究视野。但了解现代豪萨语文学的生成很有必要,因为它代表了殖民地现代文学形成过程中的一个独特
Hausa is one of Nigeria’s three main ethnic groups, with the other two being Yoruba and Igbo respectively. The latter two peoples are more familiar with Chinese readers as they have produced two prominent personalities in the history of African modern literature: Sokoin Sokha, the first African Nobel Prize laureate in literature, and 阿契贝, the father of African literature. In contrast, the Hausa people and their literature are not known to us and its unique path of literature modernization has never been included in our research perspective. However, it is necessary to understand the formation of modern Hausa language literature because it represents a unique feature of the formation of colonial modern literature
