油橄榄是世界上著名而古老的木本油料树种。我县引种后,曾在柳庄林场、大蔡庄大队、(衤羔)村大队进行嫩枝扦插育苗试验,成活率达百分之七十以上。实践证明,嫩枝扦插育苗,优点很多。现将其方法介绍如下:(一)苗床与插壤:我们在三个试验点,都采用低荫棚露天沙床扦插育苗法。苗床设在背风向阳、排水良好的地方,苗床是用砖砌成的长方池,深50厘米,宽1米,长度视插条数量而定,一般6—10米。苗床四周南低北高,呈倾斜状。床底挖一条深10厘米的通气、排水孔道,伸至床外。床底先铺10厘米厚的石子,其上铺10厘米厚的粗砂,再其上铺15厘米厚的插壤。顶部保留15厘
