多数电信网都要用专门网络手段为特殊的需要用务。要想使老设备增加一点服务功能，管理系统的事情就会成倍增加。由于不同厂商各自为政，所以专用网络及管理设备大多缺少兼容性，或者说工操作性不多，没有解决充分利用各种资源（管理手段）的问题，因而管理效率低下，事情难办，费用昂贵。本文叙述爱立信一惠普公司（ＥＨＰＴ）的ＴＭＯＳ试图用一种新开发的分布式平台来解决问题。ＴＭＯＳ是帮助老设备解决有关管理难题的一种换代装置。
Most telecommunications networks use specialized networking tools for special needs. If you want to add a little service to your old device, managing your system will multiply. Due to the dissatisfaction of different manufacturers, the lack of compatibility of dedicated networks and management equipment, or the lack of operability, have not solved the problem of making full use of various resources (management means). As a result, management inefficiencies, things difficult and expensive. This article describes TMH at Ericsson-Hewlett-Packard Co. (EHPT) attempting to solve the problem with a newly developed distributed platform. TMOS is a replacement device that helps older devices solve management problems.
