苗族是我国一个有着悠久历史的少数民族,最早归属于九黎部落集团,族系庞大的面积分布与冶炼工艺的提升,银饰的繁荣和多样化似乎成了历史的选择,银饰的发展与繁荣似乎也成了一种必然。本文从湘西苗族银饰的族系区分特征、其银饰的多义性和易变性、银饰的原始文化思想特征几个方面简单介绍了湘西苗族银饰独有的文化特征,希望日后能进一步完善。
