近几年,吐尔贡·阿勒玛斯陆续出版了《维吾尔人》、《匈奴简史》、《维吾尔古代文史》三本史书。据出版《维吾尔人》的出版社在该书文前加的“出版社的话”中说,作者从50年代起,以“认真负责……用历史唯物主义观点科学地对待历史”的态度,“经过30年的艰苦探索和艰难的劳动……写出了我们的历史的古代和中世纪的真面貌”,并明确声言,这几本书主要是给不“了解本民族真正的历史……的青年”读的。
