曹禺的《日出》不但在创作思想上比前更趋进步,而且在艺术表达上提出了“用多少人生的零碎来阐明一个观念”的“试探一次新路”的课题。实践证明这试探是成功的。本文以《日出》的舞台指示为着眼点,联系创作主体的人文理想与审美态度,试图揭示出《日出》舞台指示既与全剧对话部分融为一体,又负有自身使命的特性,进而引发人们对作家借助舞台指示以加固《日出》戏剧结构苦心孤诣的注意。
