The financial work of trade unions came along with the emergence of workers’ organizations. The financial work of trade unions in Sichuan is an important part of the financial work of trade unions in China. However, due to the particularity of geographical, political and economic conditions, Sichuan’s trade unions have their own characteristics. The first industrial workers in Sichuan emerged when the Qing government established the “Qing Machinery Plant in Sichuan Province” in Chengdu in 1877. In April 1912, Sichuan established the first province-wide trade union organization in history - “Sichuan Public Works General ”, in 1914 by Yuan Shikai government ordered the dissolution. In May 1922, the Sichuan warlord government agreed "Sichuan Public Works General Administration
