目的观察人涎腺黏液表皮样癌(mucoepidermoid carcinoma,MEC)组织中芳香化酶的表达与分布,为黏液表皮样癌的内分泌治疗提供依据。方法采用免疫组织化学方法,检测40例涎腺MEC组织和17例正常涎腺组织芳香化酶的表达情况。结果MEC组织中芳香化酶的表达率分别为55%(22/40)和17.65%(3/17),有显著性差异(P<0.05)。结论涎腺MEC组织中过高表达的芳香化酶局部催化产生的雌激素可能对涎腺MEC的发生和发展起一定的作用,涎腺MEC可能是雌激素依赖性肿瘤。芳香化酶抑制剂可能成为一种治疗涎腺黏液表皮样癌的新方法。
Objective To observe the expression and distribution of aromatase in mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) tissues and provide basis for the endocrine therapy of mucoepidermoid carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of aromatase in 40 cases of salivary gland MEC tissue and 17 cases of normal salivary gland tissue. Results The expression rates of aromatase in MEC tissues were 55% (22/40) and 17.65% (3/17), respectively. There was a significant difference (P <0.05). Conclusions Estrogen produced by local overexpression of aromatase in salivary glands may play a role in the occurrence and development of MEC in salivary glands. MEC may be an estrogen-dependent tumor. Aromatase inhibitors may become a new approach to the treatment of salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
