水稻种子发芽率是在适宜的温度(30~15℃)和湿度条件下,经一定的时间(7~30天)后,发芽的种子数占供试种子数的百分比。发芽率的高低是衡量种子质量和实用价值的主要依据。用常规方法测定发芽率,需要时间较长。现介绍一种快速测定法—氯化三苯四氮唑(TTC)法,能在10~24小时内得出结果。众所周知,凡是有生活力的种子,胚部在呼吸过程中都有氧化还原反应,而无生命力的种子,胚则无氧化还原反应。此反应的存在,使得原来无色的氯化三苯四氮唑,还原成红色不溶性的三苯基甲(月朁)(TTF)。需用的仪器和药品:镊子、刀片、烧杯、培养皿、恒温箱。药品:称0.5%氯化三苯四氮唑溶液
