西班牙人文主义作家米盖尔·德·塞万提斯·萨阿维德拉的长篇小说《堂吉诃德》是欧洲文学史乃至世界文学史上的一座不朽的丰碑。该著以史诗般的宏大叙事手法细致地展现了西班牙16、17世纪的广阔社会生活,尖锐地批判了这一时期西班牙的封建政治、经济、宗教、道德、文学等方方面面。本书虽为文艺复兴时期作品,但其现代性特征明显,具有现代小说的特色,尤其是里面的人物。本文将从《堂吉诃德》的人物堂吉诃德和桑丘·潘沙出发,分析其现代性表现。
Don Quixote, the Spanish humanistic writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedrala, is an immortal monument to the history of European literature and even to the world literature. The epic grand narrative tactics meticulously demonstrated Spain’s vast social life in the 16th and 17th centuries and sharply criticized the feudal political, economic, religious, moral, and literary aspects of Spain during this period. Although the book is a Renaissance works, but its obvious characteristics of modernity, with the characteristics of modern novels, especially the characters inside. This essay starts from Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, the characters of Don Quixote, and analyzes their performance of modernity.
