陕西省安康市地处陕南,南依大巴山,北靠秦岭主脊,境内山川纵横,植物种类之多,历有天然生物基因库之美誉。安康市民爱好、把玩盆景历史悠久,2012年第八届中国盆景展在安康成功举办,极大推动了安康盆景事业的发展。由王怀生先生创建的安康宏顺园就是安康近年发展十分迅速的盆景园之一,王怀生先生喜好盆景多年,第八届中国盆景展开阔了眼界,结交了朋友,驱车数千公里观摩学习,探访名师,其盆景收藏理念与创作技艺得到飞跃。王怀生充分利用安康丰富的资源,并收藏外界的精品盆景,创建了颇具发展潜力的宏顺园。园中收集有大规格的紫薇、金弹子、刺冬青等优良盆景桩材数百盆,虽尚不成熟,但众多桩材恢宏气势已经蔚为壮观,数年之后,宏顺园或将有更多佳作呈现。
