In our 114-year environmental survey, we learned from interviewees about their attitude toward environmental protection, sustainability and ethical fashion. We were surprised to find that the results were very contradictory. It is true that consumers already know what environmental protection is and recognize the importance of sustainable development, but less than 10% are willing to pay more for these products. Therefore, we decided to engage in dialogue with some people in the industry and listen to their attitude toward this issue of hearing nothing about rain and rain. In the following, we will give readers a list of the reasons for the success or failure of environmental protection so far and the fate that “ethical” fashion may face. At the same time, we also notice that even if the retail industry is facing tough times, people are at a low price. Abandonment of clothing consumption can still make a lot of money, so most retailers are indifferent to moral clothing. People have different opinions on this issue and cannot come up with a simple solution. Here, we have some ideas for discussion; how the clothing industry can make a difference on this complex and far-reaching issue, no matter how much they intend to pay.
