Greening the city, protecting the environment and establishing a good ecological balance have far-reaching significance to the urban-rural modernization, safeguarding the people’s body and beautifying the people’s living environment. Establishing green space and vigorously carrying out lawn construction are one of the important measures to green the city. Improve the lawn quality and greening effect, the key is to choose the appropriate grass species. Under the condition of the north continental climate in our country, choosing the lawn grass species which can overwinter and have a longer summer green is the most urgent task to improve the status of the afforestation in northern China.
