行波快堆是一种革新概念的快堆,采用一次通过的增殖焚烧模式。由于其增殖和焚烧过程可以分别用两个行波来描述,因此称为行波堆。行波堆是一个理想化的一次通过的先进能源系统,原则上不需要燃料后处理即可实现深度焚烧利用天然铀或贫铀,可望从根本上解决铀资源的利用问题。本项目开展行波堆的技术初步评估,主要包括行波燃耗模式的物理特征研究,行波堆和驻波堆
Traveling wave fast reactor is a fast reactor concept innovation, using a proliferation of incineration mode. Because of its proliferation and incineration process can be described separately by two traveling waves, so called traveling wave reactor. Traveling wave reactor is an idealized one-pass advanced energy system. In principle, deep processing and utilization of natural uranium or depleted uranium without fuel post-treatment is expected to fundamentally solve the problem of utilization of uranium resources. The project carries out a preliminary technical assessment of traveling wave reactor, including the physical characteristics of traveling wave fuel consumption mode, traveling wave reactor and standing wave reactor
