一、前言电化教育在我国开展的时间虽然不长,但其作用已初步展示出来。电化教育不仅在社会教育中占有很重要的地位,而且在普通高校的教学中起着十分重要的作用。电化教育为外语教学提供了丰富的声像资料、生动的语言情景、先进的教学设备,成为提高教学效率与教学质量、发展学生智力的得力手段。为了全面了解中南五省师范专科学校的外语电教情况,促进各院校间的交流与合作,更好地发挥电教在外语教学中的作用,中南地区外语电教协会委托湖北荆州师专对中南地区的36所师专的外语电教情况作全面调查。考虑到电教情况与其它情况的相互联系,我们在设计调查指标时,不仅设置了有关电教情况的指标,同时也设置了一些其它方面的指
