Introduction Excimer complexes play a very important role in photochemical reactions. Therefore, in-depth study of the formation, decomposition, fluorescence emission and other processes of exciplexes is of great significance to the development of photochemical and photophysical processes. The authors have used steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy to study the differences between cis and trans isomers of trans-diphenylethylene and dimethyl-2,6-dimethylphthalate as exciplexes. Isomers have been shown to have an impact on the formation of exciplexes. Therefore, this paper measured the fluorescence decay process with the nanosecond fluorescence spectrometer, the experimental results show that steady-state fluorescence combined with the dynamic fluorescence decay process can increase the understanding of the photophysical process.
